John Wolcott

John Wolcott is a professional bassist and music teacher based out of Portland, Oregon.

He can be seen regularly performing and touring with several bands from the pacific Northwest, including: Curtis Salgado, Ben Rice & the PDX Hustle, TapWater, and others.

As a young musician, John's early talents were cultivated singing in choirs and performing with various marching bands. He began playing bass at 14, and later attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He has been a professional musician in the Northwest since 2019.

His current work is primarily in the Americana, blues, and R&B genres. He also has extensive experience performing jazz, fusion, afro pop, reggae, and latin music.
